There are many big issues impacting our oceans right now… plastic, pollution, sea level rise, noise pollution, over fishing, the transfer of non-native species, acidification, rising sea temperatures to name just a few! The Big Seaweed search is a citizen science project, commissioned by the Natural History Museum and the Marine Conservation Society, to look at the impacts of the last 3 of the issues listed above.

This February we took a staycation, and thankfully got lucky with the weather. Basking in glorious sunshine, as an anticyclone swept across Cornwall, we were treated to clear blue skies aplenty and some fabulous beach days.

Seasalter, Whistable. A beautiful town and beach.
I recently had the pleasure of spending a weekend on the beautiful Kentish coast, at Seasalter. And I would highly recommend it. I stayed in a beach bungalow with a picture window, and the view didn’t disappoint.
