I’ve blogged my entire Clipper Race adventure, from training, to the various races. But I’ve been asked (a lot) to answer various question. So I thought it might be easier to blog it here instead…
Were you scared?
This has got to be the number one question I get asked. The answer is simply “No” – I wasn’t scared before or during the race. I wasn’t even mildly apprehensive. I’d spent a long while preparing and training for the race, so I felt completely ready for it, mentally, physically and in terms of my ability.
I’ve already blogged about the first two races which formed leg 8 of my Clipper Race adventure. The Atlantic race part one and two, and the race from N Ireland to the English coast. In this blog, I’m going to tell you about the last race, which saw us sprint up the Mersey to the official Clipper Race 17/18 finish at Albert Docks.
After our Atlantic race (see part one and two here) followed by an incredible couple of weeks in N Ireland, we were ready to set sail again. The last ‘big’ race, 1,000 miles around Ireland and over the Irish Sea to the English coast.
